Quality Management Systems (ISO 9001)
ISO 9001:2008, which sets the requirements for quality management systems, is firmly established as the globally implemented standard. It provides assurance for quality requirements and enhances customer satisfaction in supplier-customer relationships.
Customer confidence is integral to business success, and so is workforce confidence. The implementation of an efficient and effective Quality Management System (QMS) allows for clear internal communication which is paramount to achieving high quality output – no matter the product or service.
In the ISO news, Secretary-General Rob Steele comments that “…[with] nearly a million and a half users at the end of 2010, these figures illustrate the continuing attraction of the ISO management system model pioneered by ISO 9001 for quality management, and since extended to meet other challenges faced by public and private sector organizations.”
